My Experience at Blue Chip Talent

New environments and new experiences can be daunting and at times very nerve-wracking. Before my experience at Blue Chip Talent, I did not know what to expect from an office environment. Many people view an office environment as an uptight, bleak, soul-crushing environment. For a long time, that was the belief I held as well. However, ever since I began my short, but enjoyable experience at Blue Chip Talent, I could not have been more wrong. Immediately when one walks through the door, one is greeted with an upbeat, modern, and colorful space filled friendly faces and the sound of music. In the background, the sound of games of ping-pong and hearty laughs reaffirmed the fact that Blue Chip Talent is a unique and friendly organization.

Though I was only present at Blue Chip for one day a week, I learned more about marketing and the business world at Blue Chip Talent than any class could ever teach me. Becoming familiar with the various programs that the company uses was particularly interesting. The most interesting one being a program that deals with e-mails and the data that is gathered through their use. Prior to my time at Blue Chip Talent, I had no idea companies had so much analytical data that help to improve their performance, especially when it’s something as minuscule as e-mails. Another one of the more interesting parts of my experience was learning about the social media aspect of a business. I learned that social media is an integral part of growth and a very important part of a company’s public image. At Blue Chip Talent, they do a fantastic job of interacting with followers and creating content that helps them to grow their online presence. I even had the opportunity to learn about the design process of an advertisement and I was even able to create one myself.

At Blue Chip Talent, in conjunction with learning about the various parts of a company and its operations, I also learned a plethora of skills that I can apply to future endeavors. One of the most important being the creation of a LinkedIn page. This taught me the importance of networking and expanding one’s personal web of contacts in the professional world. Another skill I learned was data analysis and data aggregation. I spent a lot of time researching different things and formatting it in a way that was easy to understand. Prior to my time at Blue Chip Talent, I had no experience with any of that and I am extremely grateful that I was able to learn how to do that first hand.

Overall, though my time at Blue Chip Talent was short, it was nothing short of amazing. At first, I was nervous that I would not do much or that I wasn’t going to enjoy myself. I am happy to say that both of those worries were shattered almost immediately. I am extremely grateful to have learned so many different skills and so many different things about the business world. After this experience I certainly feel that I am a step ahead of my peers. Thank you to everyone at Blue Chip Talent for giving me an experience that I’ll never forget.
